10 Things You Can Do While Waiting For The Simpsons Movie Premiere

The Simpsons Movie officially premieres on Friday July 27th. Those lucky enough to live in Springfield, Vermont did get a sneak peek last Saturday. In Denmark we have to wait another week until August 3rd. We are more lucky than the Japanese though, they won’t see it until March 1st 2008. By then they will all have either downloaded the DVD-rip or bought the DVD on Amazon.

For some it’s almost like Christmas, the waiting is unbearable. Don’t worry help is on the way. I’ve created a list of things to do while waiting for The Simpsons Movie premiere.

Here is a list of 10 Things You Can Do While Waiting For The Simpsons Movie Premiere:

1. Visit the official The Simpsons Movie site. Play mini-games, visit Springfield, download backgrounds and create your own avatar.
2. Read my preview of The Simpsons Video Game on Connected Internet. This looks really promising. I’d hate to see another poorly made video game based on a hit movie, like Spiderman 3, Superman Returns and The Transformers.
3. Read the latest reviews and critics of the movie at IMDB and get all the info, fan stuff and more reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, including a discussion of the top 5 Simpsons episodes.
4. See the Top 10 sexiest ladies of The Simpsons, including Tabitha Vixx and Edna Krabappel. No, Selma and Patty are NOT on the list. I said the 10 SEXIEST!
5. Homer Simpson will make an exclusive appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote The Simpsons Movie. Homer will show up during the opening monologue of the installment, which will air on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:35 p.m. (ET/PT). If you can’t see NBC (like me) I bet it will be on YouTube tomorrow.
6. See the 7-Eleven stores turned into Kwik-E-Mart. Man I would love to have a can of Buzz Cola or Duff Beer on my desk. This is really well made and a great promotion idea.

7. Go eBay and buy all the insanely priced Simpsons stuff from 7-Eleven aka. Kwik-E-Mart. $345 for a Kwik-E-Mart shirt…YIKES!

8. Have fun with Ascii art. You favourite Simpson character turned into letters, signs and numbers. It doesn’t get prettier than this.
9. Or create your own Simpson character based on a photo of yourself or a friend/foe. Go and Simpsonize yourself.
10. Watch The Simpsons episodes! The first nine seasons are now out on DVD. The tenth will be released August 7th. Each DVD’s running time is 550 minutes. That is entertainment enough for the next 206 days, with the tenth coming out and probably the eleventh around Christmas even the Japanese should be entertained until The Simpsons Movie premieres in Japan.
