To those of you who didn’t know, which probably means you are not following me on twitter, I’m currently in Orlando, Florida.
Normally I don’t write so much personal stuff here, but I’d like to share my travel experiences with you. Before booking my flight I spent a great amount of time searching for airline reviews. The great reviews I found didn’t quite match my budget. Of course my dream scenario would be travelling with Virgin Atlantic, but that was a bit out of my price range.
I ended up booking a ticket with the Dutch airline, KLM and NWA, Northwest Airlines. The reviews weren’t very positive, but I took the chance. I was pleasently surprised. The flight from Denmark to Holland was with KLM. It took 45 minutes, so what could go wrong there? Nothing and nothing did. With my hopes up I boarded the Airbus 330 from NWA in Amsterdam and again I was pleasently surprised.
The personal onboard entertainement system was great. Not the latest movies, but it had some classics and a great selection of music.
What really surprised me was the food. It was neatly arranged and tasted pretty good for airline food. (The dessert was excellent). After a good 7 hours flight it was time for another meal. Mexican or Italian wraps and ice cream. I’ve done a bit of travelling and even in the good old days (10+ years) ago, you didn’t get ice cream on board.
The cabin crew’s service was spotless. They joked around with each other and there was this great atmosphere between them.
So if anyone from NWA happens to read this flight number NW0035 on October 24 had at least one happy customer.
By the way - what kind of passenger are you? When the plan has landed and docked, do you get up while the “Fasten seatbelts”-sign is on? Or do you patiently wait until it’s turned off?
